CFS VENUES INFORMATION

Canine Fun Sports trains in a number of different locations and different “formats”. You will find more details about each of these venues by clicking on the drop-down menu but this is a quick summary.

All our classes use positive reinforcement training, teaching complex agility skills by breaking them up into simpler parts and then, as the handler and dog team become competent, we challenge them to put these skills together in agility courses, using positive reinforcement training, creating enthusiasm and close bonding between the dog and handler. We cater for everyone from beginners to the very top handlers; from 9 year olds to 80 year olds; from chihuahuas to Newfoundlands and everything in between.

foundation-at-castlereagh6704On Line training Classes are classes done through an exchange of videos. We have foundation classes, specific skill classes through to advanced classes. We also do course critiques via secret Facebook pages. These classes are not “time-tabled”. You are able to complete them at your own speed. This is a great way to learn the Canine Fun Sports style of handling if you you not close to our grounds, or if you would like a little extra homework.

1 day training days or workshops are sometime held on weekends, if we are not off at trials. These days often have a theme, such as foundation, distance work, increasing drive, creating tighter turns or similar topics.

We do not have any training days planned for the near future, but we will create a link when one is planned.

Facebook services include our Facebook page where we publish information and courses that you can use in your training. And for those that are regular trainers with us, we have our own Facebook group where she share the fun we have with our dogs, share information, hints and videos.

images-4WET WEATHER  ARRANGEMENTS

If you train with us regularly, you should send us an email at caninefunsports@westnet.com.au requesting to be placed on the wet weather list. If we decide to cancel classes because of the weather, we will send out an email to let you know. We also use this list to send out other useful information, such as extra training days, seminars and other class information.

In the case of wet weather we make every effort to proceed with workouts
but our decision will be based on safety.
Wet equipment can be slippery and dangerous.

With bad or doubtful weather ring:

Le: O419 297 899
Keith: 0428 980 840

If the call is unanswered, leave a message and we will get back to you. If we do not call you back, we are probably busy taking classes, so come for your scheduled class.

If you train at Castlereagh, remember that we seem to miss a lot of the rain, so even though it may be drenching weather at your place, it may be fine here. And water drains from the top agility field very quickly. Ask Keith to give you our Castlereagh phone number.

If you train at St Ives, we send out our email notifications by 7am.

Remember, we sometimes have to leave the decision to the last moment,
so if you are in doubt, ring us to check
